2. Prawn

Prawn is a small aquatic crustacean that looks alot like, and can be interchanged with the shellfish, shrimp. Like most seafoods, prawns are rich in vitamin B12 , omega-3 fatty acids, and is a lean protein. It has a crunchy, firm texture and helps to maintain a healthy heart as well as a safe cholesterol level, as it is fat and calorie free.
3. Squid

Squids are classified as cephalopods, they are known for their suction tentactles and ability to squirt ink. Squids are normally white, slightly sweet and, has a somewhat chewy texture when cooked. This particular seafood is rich in zinc, manganese, copper and riboflavin, that aids in the fight against tumors and promtes weightloss. However, Calamari (fried squid) is one tasty and unhealthy exception. 😝
4. Mussels

Mussel is of both saltwater and freshwater origins, and is also apart of bivalve molluscs family. Though mussels have 146 calories per 3 ounces, it provides your diet with the healthy unsaturated fat that your heart will definitely benefit from. Mussels are also one of many shellfish superfood that contains minerals that can lower your stress level.

Crabs are classified as decapod crustaceans, which is a good source of protein and minerals that are essential to the human body. The crab meat is usually has a flakey texture, is low in saturated fat, and contains minerals like phorphorous, selenium and vitamin B12. It is very digestible for all ages and is often a great addition to salads.
6. Octopus

Octopus, like squid, is also a cephalopod, that has same vitamins and mineral as a squid. It has the ability the to squirt ink, that both hides themselves, but also harm their enemies. Octopus also has a chewy texture but is extremely low in saturated fat which benefits those who are trying to lose weight.
7. Lobster

Lobster is a seafood that is apart of a family of large crustaceans, that lives in crevices and burrows of the sea floor. The lobster meat is a rich source of vitamin E, zinc, copper and omega-3 fatty acids. Finally, we have one of my favorite seafoods, Salmon. Native to the North Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, salmon is rich in potassium, antiodxidants, protein and vitamin B, which promotes weight loss. Salmon is also known to be a superfood, as it protect your heart and reduces the risk of potential heart disease, if consumed regularly.
