Don’t Hate, Celebrate
For some strange reason today, I am up in my feelings. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am finally accepting life for what it is. I recognize that most human beings are all about themselves. It is easier for them to hate, than celebrate. If they are not winning everyone else should be miserable with them.
We all go through ups and downs in our lives. I have been very transparent about my journey. When I was down many people were on the rise. I never felt envious or mad. I recognised then that I had to pay my dues. I call it, “Foundation building”. Nevertheless, it appears to me, that not everyone has the capacity to do good. It is easier to kick a man when he is down and to try and pull him down when he is up.
The most recent example is former Cosby star, actor Geoffrey Owens. A certain media outlet and internet trolls, started to degrade Mr Owens, when a picture surfaced of him making an honest living packing groceries at Trader Joes. Mind you, he was not stealing groceries at Trader Joes, nor did he appear in a mugshot for stealing.
No, Geoffrey Owens decided to “manup” and support his family in between acting roles by working part time at Trader Joes. In doing the right thing (making an honest living), he is being ridiculed and belittled by these despicable fools. (How dare you pack groceries?).
Its funny, sometimes what was meant to harm you, can be the best thing that ever happened to you. God will not tell you how he will package your blessings. He will use your haters and your enemies to bless you. Don’t worry Mr Owens, your best acting role is on the way!

Recently, I was looking at Senator John McCain’s funeral via YouTube and you would be amazed to see some of the negative comments from the internet trolls, on the YouTube feed during the live coverage of a great American war hero. Some people have sad lives and are in so much pain, that it is difficult for them to be happy for, or celebrate other people, even when they die. Don’t hate, celebrate.
The thing about life is that it runs on a powerful electricity called Karma. What you give out, is what comes back to you. You release hate into the universe, it comes back to you. You release love into the universe, it comes back to you. If someone else is experiencing success and you are not, that is simply because it is not your turn. God has not forgotten about you, but if you keep up with that hateful attitude, He will bypass you, and may have to wait a little while longer for your blessings.
Don’t hate, celebrate.
