After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, several years ago, someone told me, “Where you stumble, that’s where your treasure lies.”
What they meant by this saying, is simple. Sometimes when we face challenges and obstacles in life, it presents itself as a setback. In actual fact, the negative experience can sometimes set you up for a comeback. The real treasure is in the outcome of your challenge.
In other words, though you stumble, you don’t have to fall. You can actually climb. If we maintain a positive attitude and lots of gratitude during a stumble, we can actually come out much better.
The key is to look for your treasure when you stumble. Don’t close your eyes and fall on your face,or become a “Negative Nancy”. Instead, stumble with your eyes wide open, so you can grasp the real purpose of your stumble.
