Hurting People, Hurt People

By Basia Alicia Powell

Many of us are experiencing some form of pain. Unfortunately, some of us are unable to cope, and we are afraid to admit it, at the risk of being HUMAN‼️. Mental and emotional pain are  hard to detect. Many people are ashamed or afraid to share their pain, for one reason or another. They are afraid of being ridiculed or talk about.

I have never met a a truly happy person, who lives with pain.
We all have our battles to fight. Some of us put on a smile and handle our business, others simply cannot cope. OTHERS SIMPLY LEARN TO LIVE WITH THEIRS. All forms of pain are real. Everyone of us need to have someone we can turn to when we feel pain. When you have that someone, please remember to return the favor. (Do not take them for granted.) EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY.

What I have learnt from my own pain is, when I keep focusing on “my pain” it only becomes greater. I have no shame when it comes to addressing my pain. Pain is a part of life. Someone had to experience a lot of pain for us to be here. However, we all handle our labor with a different attitude and different levels of tolerance. It is not a good idea to pretend you are not in pain. The sooner you acknowledge your pain and its source, then you are able to have a speedy recovery and healing. We become better after we experience healing.

We must not allow our pain to define us. Instead, be defined  by the person you become, after overcoming pain. If you are living silently with your pain, do something about it. If you don’t,  the pain will win,; as it will consume you. Happy people have no desire to hurt others.  Unhappy people, hurt people. Who would you rather be?

These are challenging times, find your happy place, and ask for help if you need it. WE ARE ALL HUMAN

Blessings
