It’s Called Living

By Basia Alicia Powell

So many people spend 90 % of their lives, living dead lives. They want to be alive, but they are afraid to live. They spend most of their lives in perfect isolation, contented to watch others live, but fearful to live their truth.

I am a huge advocate of living with urgency. I do what makes me happy. I don’t  need permission to live. Happiness will never be handed to you on a platter. You must consistently live in pursuit of it. It is not an address, a person, a car, a bank account, or any of those things. It is a feeling, and most of all, a state of mind. It appears when you take back your freedom to live without apology.

If you are not happy you cannot be a genuine friend, a great parent or vulnerable partner. If you are waiting on more money or, the perfect partner to be happy, keep waiting and see what happens. The art of happiness is difficult to achieve and trust me when you master it, many people will try and disrupt your flow with their issues. Most people you know or related to , do not want to see you truly happy, (I said it) I am not sure why. Perhaps it is due to the fact that they have not discovered how to achieve it and “misery loves company”. But the truth is, the only person who can help you master the art of happiness is you.

God did not put us on this planet to be unhappy. We were all placed here with a gift, a purpose and free will. We then use our free will as we please and the rest is history. He never said, “Thou must not have fun and enjoy your life.” Nonsense‼️. In fact, it is a testimony of His presence and His goodness when you enjoy your lives.

Today, I urge you to start living. Address all aspects of your life that are sabotaging your happiness. We all know our issues. Sometimes it’s just one decision we need to take, to bring it all together. You feel me⁉️

Have a great weekend everybody.

Cheers
