Psalms 46 says , “Be still and know that I am Lord.” It did not say “Stay still” or sit on your couch and do nothing. So many people misrepresent stillness. Stillness here merely represents His promise to take care of the things you cannot.
Remember Matthew 25 when the master entrusted his 3 servants with talents? He was not very impressed with the servant who buried his talent and brought back his talent unused. He told him,
“For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Therefore stillness has nothing to do with refusing to use your talent. I recognize that many people have different interpretations of the bible. Regardless of your interpretation, the bible is very clear about reaping and abundance. ” You reap what you sew.” Don’t be mad when some of His humble servants who understand the princlple, consistently multiple their talents.
Stillness is great when you are listening to God and seeking His direction,, but it’s also like going to school. First you attend class but eventually you graduate, and then you have to go to work and pursue your purpose and dreams.
The problem is some of us prefer to play it safe and please the people we surround our self with. We prefer to live someone else’s dream, when we were already born with what we need to succeed. Your natural talent will not deliver excellence for you right away. Ask Serena Williams, Micheal Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, Le Bron James, and others.They had to practice to become great at what they were good at. Some people call it failure. I call it practice.
It is an unforgivable sin to be born with talent/talents and leave this earth without using them. We all have what we need to create the life we want. Just do it‼️
